Simplisafe is a Massachusetts based DIY home security company that was founded in 2006 by a Harvard Business School student named Chad Laurans. They haven’t been in business for as long as other well known companies such like ADT , Vivint , and Frontpoint Security ….but they are a decent option to consider if you are the do-it-yourself kind of person. The Simplisafe2 security system is quite affordable and it is 100% wireless so you can basically take it with you when you move to your next home. This is pretty cool because if you have a wired security system in your home…you would need to hire an installer to help you set up your system in your new home again, which can be a hassle.

I often heard customers complain about the quality of the equipment though. They say it looks cheap and it tends to break pretty easily, if you’re not careful when using it.
