Reliance Protectron Review

Reliance Protectron is a Canadian based company with headquarters in Montreal, Quebec. According to their website, the company was founded in 1988 and they apparently employ over 900 qualified professionals that can help you install a home security system in your private residence. Their website also states that the company has more than 350,000 paying customers onboard and they service both residential and commercial clients.

Reliance Protectron Services & Features

Protectron offers a reasonable number of home security services which are as follows:

  • Intrusion Protection
  • Fire Protection
  • Carbon Monoxide Detection
  • Flooding & Temperature Protection
  • Alarm Monitoring
  • Interactive Services

Reliance Protectron Pros

I like the fact that Reliance Protectron offers 24 hour service to all their customers because you never know when you might need them. You might also want to know that this company has a high-tech remote monitoring centre that is said to be certified by Underwriter’s Laboratories of Canada (ULC) so you can be assured of reliable monitoring services.

Reliance Protectron Cons

I’ve often heard people complain that the alarm systems they got from Protectron are very sensitive and they can get triggered by pets easily. Another common complaint I keep hearing is that their alarms sometimes won’t shut of once they are triggered and you end up having to call customer service for help. The fact that you need to have an installer come over to your house when you purchase a system is also disappointing because I personally don’t like strangers coming into my home for hours on end.

Conclusion

Reliance Protectron is a decent company to go with if you are willing to deal with a TON of false alarms which seem to easily get triggered by this companies’ sensitive system. Having a professional installer coming over to your house is another hassle you’ll have to deal with. Most people prefer to avoid this because they don’t want to pay instillation fees so they choose companies like Frontpoint Security since they don’t require you to get an installer.
